Mr Florian Bast is a leading Rhinologist, ENT and Facial Plastic Surgeon in London with over 17 years of diverse surgical experience, a double board certification, and prestigious fellowship training. Mr Florian Bast is a patient-focused specialist in rhinoplasties and facial plastic surgery.
Today, Mr Bast is driven by the collaborative process and patient care over commerce. He specialises in aesthetic and functional facial plastic surgery, with approximately 90% of his practice revolving around rhinoplasty. This ensures his precisely honed expertise. He is dedicated to his field, and is the founder and Director of ‘The Aesthetic and Functional Use of Cosmetic injectables Course for Doctors’ in Berlin, Germany, which is held twice a year. As part of his ongoing academic commitment to the surgical field, he lectures at national and international conferences, and frequently publishes. Part of this commitment includes his position as an editorial reviewer of major scientific papers in Otolaryngology and Facial plastic surgery.
During his extensive professional training, he studied at the University of Heidelberg, Germany - where he completed his higher surgical training; NYU, New York, USA; University of Sydney, Australia; and University of Zurich, Switzerland.
Mr Bast received the German Board Certification as Specialist in Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery (UK CCT equivalent) in 2011 and the German Board Certification for Sub-specialisation in Facial Aesthetic and Reconstructive Operations in 2015. In 2014 he spent 18 months undertaking the highly prestigious Craniofacial and Facial-plastic fellowship at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, London.
Amongst his diverse skill-set, Mr Bast also has experience in the use of Cosmetic Injectables and Dermal Fillers and is currently one of the most experienced surgeons in the UK in performing Endoscopic Balloon Dilatation of the Eustachian Tube.
Mr Bast is an active member of respected professional associations, including the Rhinoplasty Society of Europe (RSE), the European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery (EAFPS), and the German Society of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery.
Outside of the operating room, Mr Bast enjoys quality time with his 7-year-old son, and staying active through sports, cooking, and travelling.

Facing The World is a pioneering global health charity that has been transforming the lives of children with severe craniofacial differences in Vietnam for almost 20 years.
Through strong partnerships with the Vietnamese Ministry of Health and major hospitals including Viet Duc University Hospital, 108 Military Hospital and Hong Ngoc Hospital, the charity has helped build sustainable surgical capacity growing craniofacial teams from five surgeons to more than fifty. Enabling over 10,000 life-changing surgeries each year.
Our “Train the Trainers” model continues to drive long-term progress, with over 187 international fellowships already completed and 200 more planned, alongside four to six annual surgical missions delivering complex surgeries and direct skill-sharing with local teams. In 2018, Facing the World established Southeast Asia’s first craniofacial Centre of Excellence, supported by collaborations with leading centres in the UK, Canada and the USA, and accreditation by the Royal College of Surgeons. More than £2.5 million of advanced equipment has been donated, strengthening technology, telemedicine, and year-round expert support.
